As Manila prepares for the much-awaited 2017 Manila International Auto Show, which takes place from March 30 to April 2 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, car companies are hard at work prepping to give visitors a truly awesome experience.

One of these automakers is Mazda, through its Philippine distributor Bermaz Auto Philippines, which is set to unveil not just one but three all-new models when the doors open at MIAS 2017. First on the roster is the eagerly-anticipated Mazda CX-5 compact crossover. The second-generation of Mazda’s very first full SKYACTIV model now boasts a sleeker Kodo-Soul of Motion design, new tech, and a whole new driving experience to boot.

Joining the CX-5 is its bigger and equally stylish Mk II Mazda CX-9 sibling. The 7-seat Mazda crossover is likewise a more modern interpretation of the Kodo-Soul of Motion design language and jimba-ittai or man-machine philosophy. This one is more premium and boasts a few firsts for the brand in the country. The most notable new feature of the CX-9 lies under the hood: the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T four-cylinder motor with Dynamic Pressure Turbo.

While crossovers make up the bulk of Mazda sales, one must not forget the marque’s core model, the MX-5. The MIAS display, however, will not feature just any Mazda roadster. Rather, it will showcase the all-new Mazda MX-5 RF. The unique combination of a retractable hardtop and fastback design allows owners to enjoy open-top motoring while still benefitting from all-weather security. Plus, the retractable top can easily be folded in 13 seconds at speeds of up to 10kph and neatly stowed in the trunk, without sacrificing precious cargo room.

Apart from the trio of new Mazdas, the entire lineup Zoom-zoom vehicles will be on hand to wow show visitors. These include the Mazda6 Sports Wagon, the Mazda6 with SKYACTIV-D diesel mill, the Mazda CX-3 Freestyle crossover, the updated Mazda3 Speed, new variants of the Mazda2, namely, the Mazda2 Premium Series and Mazda2 RS, and the 2017 Mazda BT-50 pickup, which will proudly be displayed at the outdoor area for a more natural setting.

Get to see Mazda’s finest, as well as the rest of what the Philippine auto industry has to offer at this year’s MIAS 2017. Show hours are from 10am to 10pm.
