Chevrolet has quite a number of vehicles in its lineup. There are muscle cars, as well as Sport Utility Vehicles. There are also small hatchbacks nowadays. Yet the brand is still best known for its trucks.

Yes, Chevrolet has built a reputation the world over for producing some of the toughest and most reliable trucks in the business. One person who knows this is Nico Bolzico, social media influencer and founder of LM10 Corporation. Nico, also known as the Chevolet Globetrotter, has had a long-standing affinity with Chevy trucks.

It all began when his father introduced him to the brand and the trucks via the Chevrolet S-10. He drove this workhorse to and from their farm in Argentina. Today, he still drives a Chevy truck—a Colorado. Yet whether in Argentina or here in the Philippines, he is still smitten by the toughness and reliability that these trucks offer.

These are the same qualities that the Chevrolet Heir, Alfred Perez, loves about his vintage Chevy trucks. We say Heir because Alfred proudly says that his love affair with the Bowtie Brand and its workhorses began when his father tossed him the keys to a 1955 Chevrolet Task Force. He was 13.

This self-confessed Chevrolet aficionado fondly recalls he and his father going on car hunting trips in the Task Force. This not only strengthened their bond but his own oneness with  the truck. The owner of Perez Motor Works also shares that it was during one of those hunting trips that he met what is now his favorite truck, a 1918 490 Light Delivery Truck. Sure, it may not exactly be drivable. Yet the mere fact that it is one of the first trucks ever produced by Chevrolet makes it rank up there with the best of them. And yes, his favorite, along with the Task Force.

Chevrolet trucks, however, aren’t just for guys, as many may think. Belinda Cabrillas Senon is proof of this. The Colorado Female Boss, as she is known, breaks the stereotype as she uses her rig for both work and play.

The head of a personnel recruitment agency also leads the pack of the Chevrolet Club of the Philippines when it comes to social activities and the like. Her truck shows its versatility as both a weekday workhorse and a weekend warrior. Just like Belinda, it can go from office to outdoor in a flash.

And this is what makes Chevrolet trucks truly special to many. For almost 100 years, these trucks are known to be some of the toughest workhorses yet have also made the lives of countless families much easier, safer, and more comfortable as they go about their daily lives.
