As part of the continuing series of events commemorating its 70th founding anniversary this year, Ferrari will be holding a special auction that will put on the auction block a truly unique LaFerrari Aperta.

The Leggenda e Passione sale, which will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the sports car maker’s renowned Fiorano track, has been touted as the “most important single marque collector’s car auction in history”.

The highlight of the affair is the stunning, one-off LaFerrari Aperta that was designed specifically for the celebration. Already a limited edition model to mark Ferrari’s 70th birthday, the LaFerari Aperta is based on the cutting-edge LaFerrari hybrid hypercar.  This number, though, gives a passionate few the joys offered by the supercar mixed with the freedom of open-top motoring.

The one-off model is designed specifically for the auction and features a unique metallic Rosso Fuoco livery with Bianco Italia double racing stripes on the hood and rear. The interior likewise gets a special touch via black Alcantara, shiny black carbon fiber with red inserts on the seats, as well as red stitching.

All proceeds from the sale of the LaFerrari Aperta will go to the Save the Children program, focusing primarily on education. The auction is organized together with RM Sotheby's.
