Chevron Philippines Inc, marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants in the country, is not just about fueling your drive anymore. This year, it is set to Fuel Your School, particularly in the Bicol region as it will soon fund the acquisition of quality learning equipment for high need high schools in the area.

For the months of July and August of this year, Caltex, together with its partners, the American Chamber Foundation (ACF), and Chevron Bicol region distributor Southern Cross Distributors Inc., will donate P1 for every liter of fuel purchased from the 22 Caltex stations in and around the Bicol area. The funds will be used to raise a targeted P3 million for various Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics projects in selected high need high schools.

A Memorandum of Agreement was recently signed between the said partners and the Department of Education, which will see the DepED choosing the highest need schools, ACF, screening the projects and getting the equipment needed for these projects, and SCDI taking care of funding requirements.

With all the partners working together, it is hoped that deserving students will be able to fulfill their dreams and work towards a brighter future.
