Suzuki is becoming quite a popular car brand in the Philippines lately. This observation isn’t a personal one, as sales figures reveal that Suzuki Philippines enjoyed a huge 35% growth for the first half of 2017.

Among the models responsible for the brisk sales are the Ciaz, Ertiga, and Jimny. Compared to the same period last year, for instance, the Ciaz experienced a whopping 400% sales jump. Its combination of style, space, and feature-packed variants contributed to more Filipinos patronizing the subcompact sedan.

The seven-seat Ertiga, meanwhile, showed a 70% sales growth, while the 4x4 Jimny saw 36% more people purchase it this year. The Ertiga is seen as the ideal family mover, with its 7 seats wrapped in an easy-to-drive package. The Jimny, on the other hand, boasts a compact size that’s perfect for our cramped Metro yet is still more than capable to hurdle perennially flooded streets.

Apart from products that cater to the needs of the Filipino motorist, Suzuki will also be opening a host of new dealerships before the year ends. These include 3S dealerships in Ormoc and Tarlac, while Satellite showrooms will rise in Bonifacio Global City, SM Consolacion, SM Valenzuela, and Kalibo.

With all these, it looks like Suzuki is on its way to a record-breaking 2017.
