Ford Philippines Wants You to Have a Safe and Meaningful Holy Week

As Holy Week fast approaches, many families and barkadas are planning for that much-needed road trip. To make sure that everyone stays safe and stress-free on the road, Ford Philippines gives motorists a few tips to keep in mind when heading out to that favorite getaway.

It is best to plan your trip. It’s no secret that a lot of folks will likewise be sharing road space with you. This means it would be best to prepare for traffic jams and other delays. Also, take it easy and stop for breaks. No use in hurrying and stressing yourself to no end. Plus, it wouldn’t hurt to use apps that can give you directions and find a safer and less stressful route.

Remove unnecessary items from your car. Not only will these add to the car’s weight and engine load, in turn, increasing fuel consumption. These can likewise be a hazard as clutter can become dangerous flying projectiles that could cause serious injury.

Check your car to ensure that everything is in top form. Everything from the engine, brakes, fluids, properly inflated tires, and even the windows must be in good condition. That last item is especially helpful at night or during the unpredictable sudden downpour. The last thing you need is streaks that can hamper your field of vision.

When traveling with children, make sure to bring along snacks, drinks, and their favorite toys. Nothing is worse than a restless toddler throwing a tantrum inside the car.

Drive defensively. While you may want to keep out of harm’s way, there are times when some inconsiderate motorist will come barreling through, causing a road mishap. Make sure to always check your path, blind spot, and the like. It is better to be safe than sorry.
