Latest results of what could be the country's first neutral, fully-transparent 2016 election poll

There’s just one weekend between us and a new president-elect. One highly toxic, filthy, dirty weekend filled with propaganda, vitriol, venom and bile that many friendships (and family relations) may not survive. Personally, I’ve had it. And judging by the reactions of many of my friends on social media, you have too.

Now I’ve tried looking for unbiased polls and articles that would help me make a better and more informed decision, but I figure I’ll have better luck finding the Yamashita treasure. Which is why I decided to start my own POLL to develop a neutral barometer that people can use as they please.

If you haven’t already voted, please do so now by clicking HERE. Don’t worry, your name will never be made public, so closet fans of certain candidates are safe here. After you're done, I highly encourage you to share it with your friends to get a better sampling. But please note that you will only be allowed one vote per IP address.

Now, I understand that people are skeptical. Nobody posts anything without an agenda, right? But anyone that knows me or follows my page will know that I haven’t worn any political colors this election. Yes I am highly critical and vocal about things like the LTO, MRT and other transport issues, but that is part of my job. Regardless of which administration that manages to screw it up. And I’ve lived through 3 since being a motoring journalist. So believe me, it’s not personal or political.

But still. I get it. People are highly, highly sensitive these days. So in the interests of utter, total transparency, I have put together all the data I have about my demographics, size of audience, areas they live in etc. so you can decipher it for yourself. Yes it is not a definitive poll––it was never meant to be––but so long as you have exactly the same amount of information as I do, we should all be on the same page.

As with all election-related posts I’ve made, I urge beg you to please keep your comments as brief and concise as possible. A simple: ‘Voted’ or the names of your two candidates––if you are so compelled––will suffice. You are welcome to discuss the statistics or demographics of the poll, but please, please, stay away from using the comments box as a campaign tool because one of two things will happen: your comment will be deleted, or it will sway people away from your candidate simply because it shows that you cannot follow or respect basic rules. This is as fair as I can be. I do hope you can return the favor.

That said, here are the latest results from the poll. I’ll update this as often as I can. Hopefully every hour. But bear with me because I have a life outside of this circus. And so should you.

Love and peace to all.
