The Pinnacle Motorsport racing team is on a mission to dominate this year’s Formula Masters Series (FMS), a junior open-wheel racing event set to develop future champions in the Asian region.

Fresh from its 2nd place overall win last year, the team, which now sports a new livery and driver lineup, is gearing up for the challenge as the series’ opening round is now underway at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

Right off the bat, the team’s new black-and-orange-with-white-trims racing motif is a notch more aggressive-looking than what it had last season. But beyond the new livery, the team now has a fresh roster of drivers namely Taylor Cockerton (New Zealand), Antolin Gonzalez (Spain), and Ben Grimes (Philippines/Britain).

Cockerton has gone through 3 racing championship events before landing a seat in the Philippine-based FMS team. These include the New Zealand Formula First Championship, the Formula Ford, and the Toyota Racing Series where he finished 7th overall.

Gonzalez, on the other hand, has a solid resume of experience as one of the test drivers in Formula 3. He also had his share of actual competition at the 2016 Spanish, as well as the Italian Formula 4 Championships.

Meanwhile, Grimes is no stranger to the local racing scene as he competed in last year’s Toyota Vios Cup under team AUTS Racing. Internationally, he has served as a test driver in Formula 4 South East Asia.
