A true Porsche driver, it is said, has passion, flair, and of course, driving skill. Apart from being able to skillfully handle a precision machine like a Porsche, one must have a love for the crest and the marque.

Porsche Asia Pacific wants to see who has these qualities as it launches the Porsche Asia Pacific Driver of the Year competition 2017. By simply logging on to www.licencetothrill.asia, one can see just how good they are—in theory. The top 30 performers can then go on to put their money where their mouth is on track.

Set to happen on 6th September 2017 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, contestants will be subjected to a series of rather unusual yet exhilarating events to test their mettle behind the wheel. These include stunts like painting the numbers 718 on the track using a Porsche 718 fitted with a drilled pot of paint. One will likewise get to drive a Porsche Mcan in a gymkhna—in reverse!

Once everything has been said and done, each participant will receive their Porsche to Thrill at an awards ceremony. The top performer will walk away with the Driver of the Year title and some cool prizes.

The Porsche Licence to Thrill Driver of the Year competition is brought to you by Porsche Asia Pacific.  Deadline for entries is on 30 July 2017. Visit www.licencetothrill.asia to join.
