As sales of Porsche vehicles continue to rise over the past few months, the German sports car maker likewise continues its rise to the top, particularly when it comes to owner satisfaction. Porsche revealed that it has garnered more than a few top spots in the Initial Quality Survey of US market research firm J.D. Power.

The survey showed that the best-selling Porsche Macan bagged first place in the Compact Premium SUV category. This is the third straight time that this model got top honors since it arrived in 2015.

The iconic Porsche 911, on the other hand, also bagged the top spot for the sixth straight year in the Midsize Premium Sporty Car class of the said survey.  This shows that despite the slew of new models within the Porsche family and its own segment, people still see this cult classic as a formidable choice.

By the same token the Leipzig plant was given the Gold Award for the Europe/Africa region. This is plant where the popular Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera are built. The recognition simply shows people’s faith in the brand.

Those who are thinking that .D. Power is just some run-of-the-mill contest will be surprised to learn that it is actually a well-respected survey in the automotive industry. Over 77,000 respondents were asked about 243 new models coming from 33 manufacturers. So coming out on top is no easy feat.

And Porsche once again proves its strong staying power.
