Pinnacle Racing Team (P|RT) has fielded a trio of top-caliber racers to compete in the 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Endurance Series, which begins this weekend, October 28-30, 2016, in Zhuhai, China.

Team owner Ate De Jong will be joined by Charlie Robertson and Martin Rump. The trio will go up against the finest Asian drivers in the 4 Hours of Zhuhai in China this weekend. Thanks to their combined experience and seat time, the team stands a very good chance of taking top honors.

De Jong, for instance, started out with touring cars back in 2015 and later moved on to endurance racing. Robertson, on the other hand, competed in the 2015 European Le Mans \Series. As for Rump, he has had successes in the Formula Masters China Series during the 2015 season, along with two race wins in the Audi R8 LMS Cup where he likewise sits in fifth spot in the driver’s championship standings.

The three drivers will be piloting the Ginetta LMP3 prototype supported by Pinbet88. The team’s other sponsors include Redmount Group, Motul, and P1 Racing.

After its China leg, the 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Endurance Series will head over to Japan in December, Thailand, and culminate in Malaysia in January of next year. The Asian Le Mans Endurance Series is a sports car racing event created specifically for the Automobile Club de I’Ouest and is open to LMP2, LMP3, CN prototypes, and GT3 race cars.
