Some car companies plant trees, some build a school; these are all very important for our youth. But so is playing. Which is why Chevrolet Philippines chose to donate 17,000 indestructible soccer balls to under privileged kids.

Although there was no actual media event, when asked why such a unique gift, Lyn Buena, the senior vice president and director for marketing and communications of Chevrolet Philippines, shared this via email.

“We are particularly happy and quite proud of this campaign because we believe in the power of sports and play and more importantly, the immediate beneficiaries are children. As mentioned by one of the heads of our partner organizations during the turn-over event last Friday, these indestructible balls may be likened to the Filipino spirit - indestructible.

Chevrolet through TCCCI and One World Futbol are working with more than several chosen network of organizations like World Vision, LBC Foundation and  Salesian Society of St. John Bosco Philippines who are all working with disadvantaged communities. Its also worth mentioning that through the Philippine Marines participation, the OWF balls will be given to disaffected children from Sulu while the people behind "Fairplay For All" shall allocate their indestructible futbals  to the children from the  Payatas area.”

Now go out there and play!
