The Triangulum galaxy is around half the size of the Milky Way galaxy and it’s one of the galaxies that is close to the same spiral structure as the Milky Way. The core of the Triangulum Galaxy is a nebula – a cloud of gas and dust – called an HII region. This gigantic image of the Triangulum Galaxy -- also known as Messier 33 -- is a composite of about 54 different pointings with Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys.

The Triangulum Galaxy is formally described as a spiral galaxy with a weak (or possibly no) central bar and its loosely wound arms emanate from the galactic core. Its large size from our vantage point makes my wide-field astrophotography 80mm telescope a great choice for imaging this target. Photograph The Triangulum Galaxy. Areas such as this are prime regions for star formation. Despite it’s size, the Triangulum Galaxy appears much dimmer than M31 – The Andromeda galaxy. Messier 33 or M33 (also designated NGC 598) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum. M33 - Triangulum Galaxy . The Triangulum Galaxy captured during the Black Forest Star Party.. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 5.7 and its angular diameter is 73x45 arc-minutes. The M33 Galaxy is the third-largest galaxy in the local-group of galaxies, behind the Milky Way and Andromeda. M33 lies at an estimated distance of 3 million light years. The Triangulum Galaxy (M33) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum, that is believed to be a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy.Messier 33 can be seen visually with the naked eye under exceptionally good seeing conditions with no light pollution. The Triangulum Galaxy. The closest galaxy to our Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy and the Triangulum galaxy is the second closest, at around 3 million light-years away. ... With a staggering size …
