The BrickYard is back and here to stay for more awesome Tamiya fun

In November of last year, the country’s Mini4WD scene got a shot in the arm via the opening of The BrickYard, a venue where Tamiya collectors, hobbyists, and enthusiasts could come together and share a common passion. Located back then in Glorietta 5 in Makati City, the place eventually had to close down in order to prepare for something bigger.

Well, that “something” happens now as a bigger and permanent home for Tamiya aficionados will be opening its doors this Sunday, June 3, 2018. Now at the 3rd floor, Glorietta 2, the place sits right beside Lil’s Hobby Center, the official Tamiya distributor in the Philippines. No less than Tamiya President and Chairman, Mr. Shunsaku Tamiya is set to grace the affair.

While this isn’t his first time to visit the country, this time is a bit more special—especially for Tamiya fans. In the past, he has dropped by Lil’s Hobby Center and inspected the Tamiya manufacturing plant in Cebu. This time, however, he will meet and greet fans and collectors who share his love for Mini4WD cars.

The son of the late Yoshio Tamiya, Tamiya-san will likewise sign model kits and talk shop with visitors and hobbyists who have fueled the booming Mini4WD culture in the country.

If ever you can’t make it, however, don’t fret as The BrickYard is here to stay. Here, one will find a racetrack, modifying station, and of course, the Great Tamiya Wall. So head over to the 3rd floor, Glorietta 2 for some awesome Tamiya action.
