Volvo Philippines recently hosted an assembly of some of Sweden’s prominent companies in the business/corporate world. Organized by the Embassy of Sweden, the said assembly, which was dubbed as Team Sweden, took place at Volvo’s showroom in Makati.

As such, it’s the first to be held outside the Embassy’s Manila premises, a fitting achievement as it recently celebrated its 70th year of operations in the Philippines.

The objective of the assembly was to further improve the economic ties between Sweden and the Philippines. It also aimed to promote Sweden as a modernized country with sustainable development as its core mission. It was carried out via an exchange of ideas between business leaders and corporate experts over a spread of delectable breakfast.

To set the mood on a high note, the event had a number of Volvo’s latest models on display like the V90 Cross Country and the S90.

Some of the Swedish companies present in the event were Astra Zeneca, Atlas Copco, Ericsson Telecommunications Inc., IKEA, SAAB, SKF, Swedish Crewing Management, Swedish Match Philippines, Business Sweden, Philippine-Swedish Business Council, Polarmarine, Retail Software Associates Corporation, Volvo Buses Philippines, and Volvo Cars Philippines.
