Glamorous, yet still exuding grace under pressure. This is what Volvo stands for. And this is what its latest Ironmark Awardee, Bea Alonzo, likewise symbolizes. The award-winning actress was the recipient of the Volvo Ironmark Award during the recent People of the Year Awards.

The award, which Volvo Philippines has been giving out since 2012, stands for power, prestige, and grace—qualities of the brand as seen in its automobiles. Distinguished personalities such as Manny Pacquiao, Dr Vicky Belo, and Ces Drilon are among the roster of recipients who personify these attributes. They have not only made a mark in their respective fields but have shown that they can stand out in their own way.

The Ironmark, a symbol of strength, was given to Alonzo as a recognition of her enduring presence in the film, television, and entertainment world. From playing teeny-bopper roles, she has transformed into a serious actress. And this metamorphosis has demonstrated her versatility as a performer, showing the world that she can play any role when called upon. And do so with grace and glamor.

These are the same qualities that make Volvo what it is. Sure, it’s luxurious. Yet it has a strength that makes occupants feel secure, knowing that they are in a vehicle that will protect them no matter what.
