Waze your way out of the number coding scheme

For many a motorist trekking Metro Manila’s chaotic streets, the number coding scheme can often be an additional headache as it tends to restrict travel and is rather confusing to say the least. Waze, however, can now help you out by reminding you that your vehicle is ccoding and can show you alternative routes to get around the scheme.

Frequent Waze users may have noticed that the app has been asking them for their vehicle’s license plate number. This is its way of finding out if your vehicle is coding for a certain day. This, in turn, is its way of trying to help you out by finding routes that aren’t covered by the number coding scheme.

As you may know, different cities and municipalities have their own take on the coding scheme.  Waze tries to make it easy on motorists by showing them where they can pass without getting apprehended. Again, this is one way the Waze community tries to help each other out in a spirit of modern day Bayanihan.
