It was a celebration-filled race for Michelin at the recent World Rally Championship (WRC) Rally de Catalunya in Spain. The duo of Sebastian Ogier and Julien Ingrassia secured their fourth FIA WRC title. The win was likewise the 300th for the tire manufacturer

Apart from the power team, the pair of Dani Sordo and Thierry Neuville of the Hyundai NG i20 Michelin teams also finished on the remaining podium steps. But Ogier’s victory wasn’t exactly handed to him on a silver platter. Stage 1 saw him dicing it up with Dani Sordo. Ogier held his ground, however, and took the lead after Special Stage 14. This is his fifth win for the year.

The latest victory, is the French tire maker’s 300th since the championship began in 1973.
