The champion for the country's fastest race car series will be decided this weekend as the SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines sets its sights to the Clark International Speedway (CIS) for the 4th and final round of the 2023 season.
Equipped with the race-engineered SEAOIL Extreme-97 octane fuel, the grid of Radical SR1s return to the CIS asphalt one last time this year. The weekend will see the series' top drivers race wheel-to-wheel as they scramble for points.
Pressure is on reigning champion Iñigo Anton as he aims to repeat his success and defend his throne in 2023. After sweeping 6 consecutive race wins, he currently leads the standings with 194 points ahead of his closest rival Joaquin Garrido of Parts Pro Racing. With only a 43 point deficit to Anton, Garrido will be on attack mode as he aims to keep his title hopes afloat and steal the 2023 championship. Also, don't discount Miguel Quiñones of DRQ Motorsports who still has a mathematical shot at claiming the top spot. The multiple-time karting champion is enjoying his rookie season in the SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines and is improving at every round. Given his progress so far, expect to see him mix it up with Anton and Garrido for the title fight.
Meanwhile, newcomer Matthew Edmonds will be making his series debut this weekend and should provide plenty of action up and down the grid.
