Picture this: you roll up to your friendly gas station, fill up, and drive off. As for payments, this is done electronically via few taps of a touchscreen—right from the driver’s seat. And the cool thing is that you don’t need a smartphone to do this. Sound like science fiction?

Not so if you happen to own a new Jaguar XE, F-Pace, or XF. Beginning today, February 15th, customers in the United Kingdom will be able to download the Jaguar-Shell app on their new Jag. This innovative application allows clients to locate the nearest fuel station, fill up on petrol or diesel, and drive off. And yes, payments can be done using PayPal, Apple Pay, and soon, Android Pay.

The system uses geolocation services and is tied up with the said payment vendors to ensure safe and secure transactions. An electronic receipt will even appear on the screen, as well as sent to the driver’s email for verification purposes. It’s the first of its kind in the industry and is touted to revolutionize the way people make purchases while on the move.

Jaguar and Shell also note that this is only the beginning. Aside from fuel, vehicle owners will soon be able to pay for parking and even order food from behind the tiller. It’s all meant to help save precious time, something that many of us put a premium on, especially with today’s fast-paced lifestyle.

The Jaguar-Shell app will initially be available in the UK.  Other markets will follow within the year.
