The COVID-19 pandemic and the imposed nationwide community quarantine by the Philippine government to contain it didn’t stop Auto Nation Group (ANG) from reeling in some momentum. In fact, it suddenly made headlines this week with its surprise debut of the all-new Renegade.

At a glance, the Renegade is a compact SUV is designed for those who want to explore the concrete jungle and beyond. Looking beyond its sleek design, one can notice the adventurous nature the American brand is known for. Highlighting this is the iconic 7-slot grille design that dates back to the Jeepster and other Jeep models from decades back. In addition, the Renegade comes with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and sporty headlamps with daytime running lamps.

Inside the Renegade is an environment that complements long journeys in, out, and around the metro. Seeing the power of technology to colorize the otherwise black-and-white daily travels, Jeep has pulled out all the stops to arm the renegade with a suit of infotainment tech and connectivity goodies.

Firstly, it features 7” Touch Screen Display powered by UConnect 4 with Apple Car Play. The brand has yet to announce if it would come up with a unit that supports Android devices via Android Auto. This head unit is routed to a 6-speaker entertainment system with integrated voice command and Bluetooth. All these are illuminated under the sun with the Renegade’s dual-pane sunroof, a sight worthy of an Instagram post, if you’re into car interior photography.

Under the hood resides a turbocharged 1.4L engine that puts out 147 hp and 230 Nm of pulling power. This is connected to a 7-speed dual dry clutch transmission.

Even though the Renegade is compact in size, it’s still a must to manoeuvre it with ease and safety in mind. This is where the ParkView Rear Back-up Camera and ParkSense Rear Assist System come in handy. Aside from these, one can count on the blanket of safety the Renegade offers. This includes staples like anti-lock brakes and a set of airbags for the driver and passengers. It also has a suite of more advanced safety gear such as roll mitigation, electronic stability control, and traction control.

The all-new Jeep Renegade retails in the Philippines with two variants; the Renegade Longitude and the Renegade Limited. Priced at P1,640,000 and P1,790,000, respectively, the sleek and rugged small SUV comes with ANG’s cool launch promo. Starting May 23, those who avail a unit would be in for a P50,000 Launch Discount. The promo, ANG says, is valid until June 30, 2020.

ANG invites everyone to take a look at the all-new Jeep Renegade at its dealerships in EDSA Greenhills, Alabang, Clark Pampanga, and Cebu. The automotive firm assures that all its Jeep dealerships adhere to the rules of COVID-19 quarantine. These include temperature checks, strict implementation of social distancing and wearing of face masks, and regular sanitation of the facility and units.
