Another Modern-Day Classic from Rolls-Royce: the Wraith Luminary Collection

A Luminary is someone who inspires others, says the Oxford Dictionary. This is what inspired Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to create the newest limited edition Wraith, the Luminary Collection. It’s a car that will light the way for luxury cars in the years ahead, says the British Bespoke marque.

It begins with a new paintwork dubbed Sunburst Grey. This deep luster finish is enhanced with a hand-painted Sunburst Motif coachline and Wake Channel lines on the hood—both of which are set in copper. All this is finished off with Saddlery Tan pinstriping and wheel centers.

But what really makes this Rolls-Royce coupe trul special is what’s on the inside. As with most Rols-Royces, details like Saddlery Tan upholstery up front plays a sharp contrast to either Anthracite or Seashell leather for the rear thrones. Then there are the hand-woven stainless steel fabric on the doors and central tunnel, along with polished stainless steel treadplates that bear the limited edition designation.

Two of the very notable details that this Wraith has to offer are the headliner and woodgrain paneling. The former has the usual starlight motif, this time with no less than 1,340 fiber optic lights and eight shooting stars that fire at random. The latter, meanwhile, features 176 LED lights that illuminate the Tudor Oak paneling—something new for Rolls-Royce.

Of course, this kind of luxury is only available for a distinct few. As snooty as that sounds, Rolls-Royce will only be offering 55 Wraith from the Luminary Collection—making it a true collector’s item.
