Bridgestone Philippines is staying true to its promise to support Filipino society in any way possible. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, the company extended its help to young students in remote areas to provide a comfortable learning environment for them.
In 2019, students of the Talogtog-Bateng Elementary School in Mangaldan, Pangasinan were struggling to learn in makeshift classrooms made of lumber and plywood–a short-term solution given the lack of resources.
These classrooms would get flooded during the rainy season and become extremely hot come summertime. Such an uncomfortable space served as an impediment to the students’ education, a concern that can also affect the community as a whole. This story caught the attention of Bridgestone Philippines, which pledged to build a better infrastructure for the students of Talogtog-Bateng Elementary School.
