The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic and the imposed nationwide community quarantine to mitigate the spread may have brought the local auto industry down to its knees, but it sure didn’t stop it from fighting back. Proof of this is the resourcefulness of many car brands to utilize social media as launching pad to introduce new models for this year and beyond.
The latest to adapt this alternative way of holding car launch events is Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), which is set to release the new Wigo subcompact hatchback. The Japanese carmaker will do this live, simultaneously on its official Facebook and YouTube accounts on June 15 (Monday), starting at 4:30 pm.
To spice things up, TMP has prepared interactive games with loads of prizes up for grabs to those who will watch the live video launch. It also tapped OPM band, Ben&Ben, to provide added fun and entertainment with its selection of music to make the online event a memorable one.
