Hyundai Asia Resources Inc (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country, has been hard at work not only selling vehicles but pushing initiatives to promote sustainable development. The Korean carmaker’s Philippine arm has been a staunch advocate of environmental protection, as seen from its various programs and campaigns held during the past few years.
One of the major highlights of its push for a clean and green Philippines is its Hyundai Logistics Center in Calamba, Laguna garnering the Kamagong Award from the Philippine Green Buildings Initiative. Designed by architect and historic conservationist Dominic Galicia, the HARI facility is considered as one of the greenest and most energy efficient structures in the country today.
In line with this, Hyundai’s 42 dealerships across the country are now batting for GREEN ratings from the PGBI. This means that they are pushing to be truly green in terms of energy efficiency and water conservation. Other future plans for the company include putting up a car museum and a Hyundai Training Center that will hone the skills of deserving students to be future technicians and staff of the company and other world-class entities.
Yes, Hyundai isn’t just committed to selling quality vehicles but is likewise bent on making sure that these offerings have a safe and clean environment to move around in.
