Fresh from being showcased at this year’s Roads and Traffic Expo at the SMX Convention Center, the Hyundai H-100 Class 1 Modern Jeepney finally received the Certificate of Compliance from the Department of Transportation.

This means that the 12-seater modern PUV can start plying our roads and serve the riding public.

Powered by a 2.5-liter Euro-4 compliant CRDI diesel motor, it promises a clean and safe journey for all in and around the city.

As if this wasn’t enough, Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. announced that the H-100’s bigger brother, the HD50S, likewise garnered its compliance certificate.

The HD50S Class 2 Modern PUV is a larger option for more passengers that wish to go longer distances in comfort and safety.

This one is powered by a 2.9-liter CRDI diesel mill that is also mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

In line with the standards set by the DOTR’s PUV Modernization Program, both jeepneys boast modern features such as airconditioning, CCTV cameras, GPS navigation, digital signages, optional WIFI, and automated fare collection systems, just to name a few.

All these are designed to make the regular commute much more convenient and stress-free for all.

With these certifications, expect to see the Hyundai H-100 Class 1 and HD50S Class 2 modern jeepneys on our roads within the next few months.
