Zambales, Philippines — Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently concluded an exciting two-day adventure with D-MAX customers and car club members from across the country at their latest Isuzu D-MAX Camp-Out, held on September 14-15, 2024. The event, which combined eco-driving, overlanding activities, and family fun, highlighted the Isuzu D-MAX’s off-road prowess and fuel efficiency in a stunning beachside setting at Crystal Beach, Zambales.
The journey began at Isuzu Manila, where participants prepared their vehicles for a 160-kilometer eco-drive to Petron Subic for a fuel top-up and efficiency check. After recording their final fuel consumption ratings, the convoy continued for another hour to reach Crystal Beach, where participants were treated to a hearty lunch before embarking on the afternoon’s off-road activities.
After lunch, Overland Kings, led by Joel Pedro, guided the group through an engaging Overlanding 101 session. Accompanying them was 4WD expert Beeboy Bargas, who provided a detailed demonstration of off-roading techniques, focusing on the capabilities of the Isuzu D-MAX's new Differential Lock System and Rough Terrain Mode.
“This is an excellent hands-on experience for our customers to feel the significant difference between a standard 4x4 setup and the enhanced performance of the D-MAX’s Difflock and Rough Terrain Mode,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita. “These intelligent features give drivers more control and confidence, especially when navigating tough terrain like this,” he added.
