Just a couple of weeks before Christmas, our kababayans down south in the Visayas and some parts of Mndanao have been dealt with a trial in the form of Typhoon Odette. As a result, many families lost their homes, livelihood, and loved ones due to severe flooding and dangerous winds that destroyed homes, crops, and more.

During, and especially after the onslaught, countless public and private organizations have sprung into action, collating whatever they can, may it be cash, kind, or service, to extend help by whatever means. One of these generous entities is Lalamove, the country’s leading app-based on-demand same-day delivery service.

Displaying the legendary Filipino bayanihan spirit, Lalamove is now on the move, supporting the relief operations for families displaced and affected by Typhoon Odette in Cebu. This is on top of its full-on support for its thousands of partner drivers in the said province.

The good news is that Lalamove is pledging 1-Million Pesos in Cebu and its chartered cities.

Additionally, seeing the damages the typhoon has brought to its partner drivers, Lalamove also waived the commission fee of its partner drivers from December 17 to 19, 2021, in the hopes of further assisting them during this difficult time. This went in tandem with the companies immediate launching of a program that will provide assistance to its qualified active partner drivers to support their recovery.

Since 2018, Lalamove has been very active in Cebu, supporting thousands of its partner drivers’ incomes and providing utmost logistical services to customers and businesses.

Stay strong, kababayans. We will all recover from this.
