MAXXIS, NasFOR join forces to kick off 2019 4x4 Cup Philippines Off-Road Challenge

Taiwanese tire brand MAXXIS once again renewed its partnership with the National Association of Filipino Off-Roaders (NasFOR) to bring back the much-awaited event for 4x4 enthusiasts in the country. It’s the 2019 MAXXIS 4x4 Cup Philippines Off-Road Challenge, and it promises to deliver an action-packed year of adrenaline rush on mud, gravel, and everything in between.

The 2019 MAXXIS 4x4 Cup Philippines Off-Road Challenge is where off-road and 4x4 enthusiasts from all over the country gather to to battle it out for the win against themselves and the elements. This year, the event will feature 1 to 2 rounds of action each month until December. The difference this year, though, is the variety of route twists and extremely muddy terrain with uneven ground and waist-level puddles that put racers and their 4x4 trucks to the extreme test.

Highlighting this year’s Off-Road Challenge is MAXXIS’ line of off-road tires that will be exclusively used by all participants. These are the Mud Trepador M9060 and the Razr MT772, beefy tires that were designed to withstand even the toughest abuse like punctures and cuts. These tires are also graded to endure low air pressure operation, improve off-road stability and handling, and provide strong traction in all types of terrain for superior driving performance.

“This year is going to be extra challenging for our racers as we’ve managed to cook up more twists and turns in the mechanics. Also, to take the 4x4 cup series up a notch, we are happy to share that this year’s Driver of the Year will be sent to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to compete in the renowned Borneo Safari. It’s going to be extremely fun as well as the whole event encourages families and friends to support the racers, making the 2- day activity a festive gathering. We’re grateful to MAXXIS as they’ve been continually supportive of our projects, year in and out,” NAsFOR Events Director Ramon To-ong shares.

Of note, the 2019 MAXXIS 4x4 Cup Philippines Off-Road Challenge has flagged off its opening round last February 9-10 in Aurora. It will then be holding its next round today, February 16 until tomorrow in Ilocos. Check out the list below for the rest of the Off-Road Challenge’s activities.
