Despite its evolution into a more stylish lifestyle vehicle, many still see the Isuzu D-Max as a no-nonsense workhorse. After 16 years in existence, howeve, Isuzu Philippines Corporation has decided to  give this offering a bolder look. The boldest to date, to be precise.

Enter the 2019 Isuzu D-Max LS-A.

It all starts with the dark set front grille, complemented by bumpers, side step boards, and roof rails in the same color. Inside, IPC has given the new D-Max goodies like auto climate control system, push button start, three USB ports, 12V accessory socket, and no less than 10 cupholders.

Powering the new D-Max LS-A is the potent yet efficient 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-liter inline-4 diesel motor with BluePower and VGS turbocharging technology. It puts out 177hp and 380Nm of torque.

Initially available with a 4x4 drivetrain, the pickup will come in either 6-speed AT with sequential shift or 6-sped MT with gear shift indicator.

Those looking for a 4x2 variant can rest easy as IPC did say that it will offer this one later on.

While Isuzu did not give any prices as of press time, it said that the pickup will be priced competitively despite the additional features.
