Regular followers out there may recall that Nissan Philippines Inc. recently announced that it would be upgrading its Urvan Premium variant to give it a bit flair and make life easier for potential owners. Well, that time has come as NPI unveils the mildly updated Nissan Urvan Premium.
Chief among the upgrades is the availability of a new 5-speed automatic gearbox. This makes driving the large (5,320mm x 1,880mm x 2,285mm LxWxH) van a bit easier, especially in stop-and-go traffic. This allows for easy delivery of the 129hp and 356Nm of torque from the 2.5-liter inline-4 diesel motor.
Apart from the tranny upgrade, the Nissan Urvan Premium also gets new flexible seating. This allows for more cargo and passenger configurations and helps owners make the most out of the spacious interior. Those fifteen folks, by the way, get individual seats with recline function and their own headrests. Plus, a close assist feature helps ensure that the sliding door is always shut.
Like its manual transmission sibling, the new AT variant retains the styling cues that have made the High Roof model a popular choice. Things like the V-Motion grille, colored keyed bumpers, and foglight bezels all help give this van a look befitting its Premium moniker.
The new Nissan Urvan Premium AT is now available at P1,740,000.
