We all know Porsche for offerings like the iconic 911. Yet true Porsche aficionados will note that the brand has dabbled in quite a number of design projects, such as a watch, a building and now, a yacht. Actually, it’s a superyacht known as the Dynamiq GTT 115.
The new superyacht is a partnership between Monaco-based yacht builder Dynamiq and Studio F.A. Porsche who designed the sleek flanks. The Gran Turismo Transatlantic (GTT) 115 is a 35-meter long all-aluminum yacht that is touted to be sporty yet comfortable and capable of high-speed, long distance cruising on the high seas.
Apart from its unique design, the GTT 115 likewise has a cutting-edge powerplant—a hybrid system that utilizes three variable-speed generators. This allows it to achieve a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 3,400 nautical miles. It’s practically a sustainable vessel for the future, available today.
Dynamiq and Studio F.A. Porsche will be unveiling the GTT 115 at the posh Monaco Yacht Show, which runs from September 27-30, 2017. The team plans to build just 7 units of the superyacht, making it an ultra-rare collector’s item.
