All roads led to Italy last weekend as Ferrari held a grand party to celebrate its 70th birthday. For almost a year now, the Prancing Horse has been preparing for this auspicious event. And it finally took place last weekend.

Festivities began with a series of rallies held in various European cities, which eventually converged in Milan. Here, the 500-strong parade of Ferraris headed out to the Fiorano circuit—the main venue for the 70 anniversary celebration.

Apart from the Fiorano circuit, fans and collectors also gathered in Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari, to honor his legacy. The highlight was a historic drive to the Museo Enzo Ferrari, as well as a stopover at the Military Academy, Palazzo Ducale.

Saturday, September 9, was also the day when RM Sotheby’s auctioned off more than a few prized Ferraris. One of these was a one-off LaFerrari Aperta that sold for a whopping 8.3 million Euros. All proceeds from the sale went to the Save the Children program.

The day was capped off by Ferrari Settanta, a showcase of the Prancing Horse’s past and present, along with a peek into its future. And in true Ferrari fashion, a Concours d’Elegance took place on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Here, over 120 vintage Ferraris were scrutinized by a distinguished panel of judges in order to select the Best in Show in the GT and sports car classes.

Yes, the affair was truly a fitting way to celebrate everything Ferrari.
