As we move closer to the end of 2018, Ford Philippines once again reported an increase in sales for the 11th month of the year. November sales were up by 16 percent compared to the previous month, pegged at 1,891 units.

The main driver is the new Ford Ranger, which sold some 1,158 examples. This brings year-to-date sales to 10,374, which was a 12 percent rise over last year. It is worth noting the November sales were up by a whopping 60 percent vis-à-vis that of what was reported in October.

This strong showing can be attributed to the facelifted model that was introduced last September. The new look, along with two new engines seem to be a welcome addition, says the market.

Its Everest midsize SUV sibling, meanwhile, came in with 446 units to its credit. This brings total yearly sales to 5,406 units. The EcoSport (another favorite) closed the month of November with 206 vehicles. Yearly sales are now pegged at 4,803 units. And of course, the erstwhile Mustang saw 36 units leave showroom floors in November, for a 7 percent yearly increase pegged at 405 examples.

With a month to go for the current year, Ford is confident it will close the year on a sales high.
