Toyota is best known as the world’s leading car manufacturers, providing safe and reliable vehicles that cater to every niche of the market. In the future, however, the Japanese vehicle maker hopes to become a leading mobility services provider.

At least this is the impression is gives us as it unveiled the e-Palette Alliance, along with the e-Palette Concept Vehicle at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The former aims to utilize Toyota’s mobility Services platform to come up with a new mobility ecosystem., while the latter will be the realization of this vision.

Toyota, together with business partners Amazon, DiDi, Mazda, Pizza Hut, and Uber, hopes to come up with services such as vehicle leasing and financing, as well as big data and fleet management, just to name a few. Each of its partners will look into the various mobility potentials that such services can do to enhance their business in the future.

Being a vehicle maker naturally means that Toyota would come up with a vehicle to help bring its vision to fruition. In layman’s terms, this simply means the car company dreams of a vehicle that will help each of tis partners each their common goal of having an ecosystem of comfortable vehicles that will improve owners’ productivity and efficiency for both work and leisure

The vehicle that we’re talking about is the e-Palette Concept Vehicle. This unique vehicle will have an interior that can be customized to meet the owner’s needs. In line with this, each of business partners can tailor the interior to their various applications. It can, for instance ,be used as both a business tool or a purpose-built leisure platform.

Toyota hopes to field a flet of e-Paette Concepts by the 2020s. as well as use them to service the needs of participants in the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. It plans to come up with three sizes that will meet a wide range of needs and requirements.
