Toyota PH rolls out the Veloz, a new sportier variant of the Avanza compact MPV

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), the official distributor and manufacturer of Toyota vehicles in the country, recently added a new variant to its popular Avanza compact MPV. It’s called the Avanza Veloz, and while its power train is the same; its looks boast a sporty vibe inside and out.

Externally, the Avanza Veloz heads the way with a flashier fascia. It’s got what TMP refers to as the “aero grille” which perfectly complements the redesigned bumper. While its profile remains as is, its back end is highlighted with an equally sporty bumper that’s accented with smoked chrome tail light frames, rear gate handle

Inside, the Avanza Veloz beckons its occupants with a black-themed fabric interior. It also has bits of chrome accents on the steering wheel, dash, gear shift bezel, and door panels for that hint of sophistication.

But the centerpiece of the Avanza Veloz’ interior is its head unit. Case in point, it’s got this new display audio with a navigation system, a nifty feature for those who love to explore the ins and outs of the metro with the whole family or friends.

According to TMP, the Avanza Veloz is offered in 4 body colors; Black Metallic, Silver Metallic, White, and Red Mica Metallic (new). Its price points are also calibrated to not breach the P1-million mark. With that being said, the Avanza Veloz will be the nameplate's now range-topping model with a price tage of P1,025,000. Other variants of the Avanza are as follows:

  • 1.3 J MT – P707,000
  • 1.3 E MT – P796,000
  • 1.3 E AT - P839,000
  • 1.5 G MT – P915,000
  • 1.5 G AT – P958,000
