Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s authorized business unit in the country, has added some cool new features to the Civic 1.5 RS Turbo, seeing the local market’s positive acceptance of the compact sedan since its launching exactly 1 year ago.
As regard, new to the RS Turbo for 2017 are its power folding side mirrors and speed-sensing door locks, features that the brand says would provide utmost convenience. But there’s more to these features than the ease of use they promise.
For starters, the former automatically folds the mirrors with a press of a button. This gives the driver added peace of mind, knowing that the mirrors are more protected against accidental dings or hits from other vehicles or people on parking spaces.
The latter, on the other hand, automatically locks the doors as the vehicle reaches 15 km/h. This, in turn, adds safety for its passengers as there’s less chance of the doors being opened by mistake while on transit.
Of course, the addition of these features meant that the retail price of the Honda Civic 1.5 RS Turbo has slightly gone up. It now sells for P1,413,000, a P10,000 increase from its previous price. On the other hand, its Modulo and Modulo Sport versions now have P1,460,000 and P1,525,000 price tags, respectively.
