As Porsche sales continue to grow worldwide, we don’t need to look too far to see that this is more than just marketing-speak. Porsche Asia Pacific recently reported a strong demand for Porsche vehicles in the region. In fact, there were some 5,589 cars delivered in 2016—exceeding the figure posted during the previous year.

This stellar performance was courtesy of markets like Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, which have a penchant for vehicles with the Porsche Crest. This was complemented by the Philippines and Thailand, both of which displayed a steady rise in Porsche sales.

As for the favorite Porsche models, these continue to be the Macan, with 2,626 units, and the Cayenne, at 1,819 examples sold in the region. The revised 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman also exhibited a strong showing with 356 units sold, while the all-new Panamera, which arrived in the region late last year, rolled out 198 cars during the period. And what Porsche lineup would be complete without the iconic 911? It continues to be one of the top sellers, with 590 911s sold—translating to an 11% rise in sales compared to 2015.

Will this trend continue in 2017? We’ll definitely watch and see.
