Remember the Honda Amaze? For those that can’t seem to put a finger on the name, it’s the Honda Brio’s four-door sibling that competes with the likes of the Mitsubishi Mirage. If you still can’t recall what it looks like, no worries as the Japanese carmaker has just released the 2nd-generation Honda Amaze at the Auto Expo 2018 in India.
One look at the new Honda Amaze and you’ll immediately notice a bolder stance. The front end ties in with the rest of the Honda family, while the side is sleeker with more powerful-looking lower body. The rear is now more cohesive with the rest of the car, unlike the tacked-on look of the previous model.
At 4m long, the Amaze promises a more comfortable cabin with added room for all occupants. Honda also says that cabin materials are more premium and modern, with a host of modern conveniences.
First seen in 2013, the Honda Amaze has been developed at the Honda R&D facility in Bangkok, Thailand. The new model is a product of extensive customer research, particularly on driving needs and lifestyles. While no powertrain details have been released, we may just see the current 1.3-liter four-cylinder with 99hp and 127Nm continue its stint under the new Amaze’s hood.
The all-new Honda Amaze will hit the market this 2018.
