Isuzu rewards six of the most fuel efficient drivers with a trip to Thailand

It all began last September when some 40 participants tried their hand at driving the most efficiently with their Isuzu vehicles equipped with the new RZ4E diesel engine. All this culminated in some 27 finalists going up against each other in the 2018 Isuzu Fuel Economy Challenge. In the end, 6 energed victorious.

Held last January 26, 2018 on a 10km course at the Isuzu headquarters in Binan, Laguna, each participant used their miserly driving skills and a bit of wit to try and outsmart the next guy. At the end of the day, six winners came from both the mu-x RZ4E and D-Max RZ4E categories. They were:

MU-X CATEGORY:

  • Elizabeth Vinarao – 17. 60 km/li (Isuzu Commonwealth)
  • Kart Thomas de Leon – 17.20 km/li (Isuzu Bulacan)
  • Leonardo Eugenio – 17.10 km/li (Isuzu General Santos)

D-MAX CATEGORY:

  • Gerico Ponce – 20.70 km/li (Isuzu Makati)
  • Gerald Debblois – 20.20 km/li (Isuzu General Santos)
  • Eric Empestan – 18.20 km/li (Isuzu Bacolod)

These individuals not only gained the respect of their peers but also got two tickets each for an all-expense paid trip to Thailand this April. It’s their reward for putting their best foot forward and for helping Isuzu advocate its goal of making fuel efficient motoring a way of life for both its customers and the general motoring public.

The event was also made possible with the help of Pilipinas Shell.
