As Volvo Philippines continues its thrust to provide safety for all on our roads, it takes its Safe Roads program to yet another learning institution in Metro Manila.
The Swedish car company held the second leg of the campaign in La Salle Green Hills recently.
As with the kick-off event that took place at the MGC New Life Christian Academy last August, the LSGH leg showed students and faculty members the importance and different aspects of road safety.
This was done thru talks, as well as visible signages that are placed in different locations throughout the campus. In this way, youngsters and those that help inculcate knowledge will be reminded that it is better to be safe than sorry while out on the road.
A study by the World Health Organiztion reveals that 1.35 million people die each year due to mishaps on the road. This is why it is imperative that everyone be made aware that such accidents can be avoided or eliminated altogether if only we all did our share in making our roads safer.
It also ties in with Volvo’s Vision 2020 that aims to avoid or totally eliminate any serious injuries or deaths while in a Volvo by the year 2020.
