It is no secret that every Rolls-Royce that rolls (no pun intended) out of the Goodwood factory is a bespoke creation, a reflection of its new owner’s personality, if you will. Every client that orders a Rolls-Royce isn’t just purchasing an automobile; they are acquiring a luxury item that suits their lifestyle and personal taste.

Yet every once in a while, the House of Rolls-Royce teams up with some of the great artists in order to come up with masterpieces that can truly be called collector’s items. Such examples are the latest Wraith Inspired by Music collection. The project, which started as far back as 2015, is a team-up with renowned portrait photographer Alistair Morrison.

The Wraith Inspired by Music project consists of nine specially-designed Rolls-Royce Wraith motor cars that will be painstakingly designed using cues from various icons of British music. Two of these are done together with The Who’s Roger Daltrey. The first Wraith features touches like The Who’s famous bull’s eye logo and Daltrey’s very own swing microphone, as seen on the door flights.

The other Wraith, meanwhile, was done with the help of artist Mike Mclnnemey, the man responsible for the artwork on The Who’s Tommy album. As with that seminal piece, the one-of-a-kind car will boast of art that depicts some of the scenes from that album, as well as from other bits of The Who’s rich musical history.

The two Roger Daltrey cars, along with the rest of the Wraith Inspired by Music collection, will be made available to clients within the coming months. Part of the proceeds will go to various charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust.  If you’re a music fan and can afford it, then at least one of these cars should be in your prized collection.
