Notch – was $250, now $240 – Sold Used ~5 nights total. The partial solid interior (which has half solid half mesh walls and a mesh roof) blocks horizontally blowing wind, sand, snow, and rain; some say it makes the tent up to 5 degrees F warmer.

The partial solid inner will have better wind protection (less air flow in the lower area) so it should feel a bit warmer in some situations . And with the "partial solid" inner tent it's good for a snowstorm. I have/use a tarp tent Notch. Tarptent Owners and Prospective Owners Group has 1,203 members. Ideal for trekking pole users who want the extra protection from condensation, without an excessive cost in weight or price.

I purchased with the bug net interior and it's worked very well during late spring/summer.
Always used with a footprint.

I purchased my Tarptent Notch in December 2015 so I thought that it was about time that I published some sort of review. Also includes two (2) 42” vertical support poles. I've now used my Tarptent notch with the inner quite a bit. For colder weather, you can add a solid inner liner. I set my trekking poles to anywhere between 110-115 cm. Tarptent Notch with parital solid innertent Updated for 2018, the Notch fly is now water pressure rated to 3,000 mm hydrostatic head. The Notch packs down into a long sausage type package.

The Tarptent Notch will be most comfortable and weatherproof with a footprint or other groundsheet which you must buy separately. Has anyone any experience with this interior? That being said, you will need two more stakes to make the tent more stable in inclement weather. It also features zipperless doors and no moving parts for long term durability. I have the partial solid inner which keeps me out of any extra breeze.

The Notch is very easy to setup. Yet I haven’t had the chance to pitch it… Well mainly because of the lack of trekking poles (borrowed some from a friend now till I buy my own) and because of the humid weather…
