Around ten years ago, Subaru had an offering called the Tribeca. While not exactly an Impreza, the seven-seat Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) gave a taste of the Subaru cache to family men who wanted a bit of fun behind the wheel yet still had to be responsible because there was a baby and wife on board. Now, Subaru seems to want to relive those days with its latest concept, the Viziv 7 Concept, which was revealed at the ongoing Los Angeles International Auto Show.
Ticking the tape at a longish 5.2m, the Subaru Viziv 7 Concept shows how the Subaru styling language of Dynamic x Solid cues is interpreted in a family-friendly manner. The added length and outer dimensions make for more space inside.
While no details have been given about the vehicle’s powertrain and drivetrain, we can expect the trademark horizontally-opposed boxer family of engines and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive to make their way under the metal. Not only are these Subaru traits, but they likewise give every Subaru vehicle a surefoootedness on any road surface and under any weather condition.
Subaru has said that the Subaru Viziv 7 Concept will enter into production at the beginning of 2018.
