Last January, Motor Image unveiled the next-generation Subaru Impreza in a regional launch in Singapore. At the event, it was likewise revealed that its Philippine arm, Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc., would roll out the model in the country real soon. And now, the time has come, at no less than the Manila International Auto Show 2017 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The latest iteration of the Impreza utilizes the new Subaru Global Platform that is set to underpin future Subaru models. The platform promises a more comfortable ride, yet still giving the driver more confidence behind the wheel.
The Philippine-spec Imrpeza will be the sedan variant that is powered by a 2.0-liter FB20 horizontally-opposed boxer motor that produces 153hp and 196Nm of torque. It is mated to the brand’s Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This translates to sporty yet relaxed driving and unparalleled grip on any road surface.
The Subaru Impreza retails for P1,388,000. See it at MIAS 2017 from March 30 to April 2, 2017 from 10am to 10pm.
