Many crossovers and SUV segments in the market today, one wonders if there is room for any more versions of what seems to be the world’s favorite vehicle. Apparently Audi thinks there is.  In fact, it will be introducing a new concept at the upcoming North American International Auto Show: the Audi Q8 Concept.

The new Audi Q8 Concept mixes coupe styling with SUV spaciousness. It’s low and sleek yet still able to sit four adults in total comfort. Moreover, utility and versatility are part of he package.

While not much has been revealed as of press time, Audi did mention that the new SUV is near-production ready and boasts of cues from the Ur-quattro of the 1980s. These are the flared shoulders and wide C-pillars. No surprises here, as Audi has always been known to evolve its designs towards a more modern and futuristic vibe for true consistency.

The Audi Q8 Concept will debut this January in Detroit.
