With the recent update of the Ranger, it is but natural that its Sport Utility Vehicle platform twin, the Everest, would follow suit. Well, this is  exactly what Ford Philippines did as it introduces the facelifted midsize SUV to the Philippine market.

The 2020 Ford Everest sports a new three-bar chrome grille, along with an updated front  bumper. The rear also gets a few tweaks, as do the wheels that now come as 20-inchers. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a revised interior with leather on the seats and other surfaces, SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and navigation, dual-zone climate control, a 230V power inverter, and cruise control, among others.

More features can be found on the safety front. These include the usual plethora of airbags, ABS with EBD  and BA, stability and traction control, hil start assist, trailer sway assist, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision mitigation, lane keep assist, active park assist, tire pressure monitor, and reverse camera.

The big news for the refreshed Everest, however, is the pair of diesels under the hood. Instead of the 3.2- and 2.2-liter motors from the pre-facelfted model, the new one gets a 2.0-liter four-pot with either a single turbo (with 180hp and 420Nm) or the Ranger Raptor’s bi-turbo, 210hp and 500Nm unit. The engines are paired with the same 10-speed auto from the Raptor.

The 2020 Ford Everest comes in two variants with the following prices:

2.0 Bi-Turbo Everest Titanium 4x2 - PhP 1,995,000

2.0 Bi-Turbo Everest Titanium 4x4 - PhP 2, 299,000
