Audi updates the A4 and A4 Wagon with minor tweaks and a new S-Line Competition package

Audi is one of those car companies that doesn’t really perform radical changes on its vehicles. Even for full model changes, the updates are fairly minimal, maintaining the overall profile and look of each model throughout their various generations. So it’s no surprise that the 2019 A4 and A4 Avant (station wagon) are more of a spot-the-difference affair.

This mid life-cycle refresh sees very little change by the way of new bumpers front and rear, an intake vent here and there, and trapezoidal exhausts as opposed to the former rounded ones. The wheels too are new, with sizes ranging from 16- to 19-inches.

What is new is an S-Line Competition package. This one features selenite silver for the front bumper blade and stone guard, LED headlights, red brake calipers, sport suspension, the Audi logo on the lower part of the doors, and 19-inch alloys. The look is finished off by a Turbo Blue paint job and an RS spoiler for the wagon.

On the inside the black partial leather seats, RS carbon friber inlays, and a three spoke steering wheel all give it a sporty touch. Buyers can also specify either magma red or other hues in place of the primarily black scheme.

Expect to see the 2019 model year A4 and A4 Avant by the third quarter of the year.
