Since its introduction a few years back, the Bentley Bentayga has always been offered in two flavors—a fire-breathing yet comfortable W12 or a frugal yet still fun diesel V8. Now, the British luxury automaker brings to the fray a mill that combines the best of these worlds. Enter the Bentley Bentayga V8.

Sitting underneath the hood of this luxury SUV is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that puts out 542hp and 770Nm of torque. These numbers are good for a 0-100kph sprint time of 4.5 seconds and a 290kph top speed. At the same time, start/stop technology and cylinder de-activation help to achieve a driving range that can go beyond 700kms.

While the exterior remains unchanged, the Bentley Bentayga V8 gets 22-inch alloy wheels, as well as optional carbon ceramic brakes. It also receives twin quad exhausts that emphasize its newfound power.

Bentley will begin delivering the Bentayga V8 to customers by March of this year.
