April 12, 2018

For those old enough to remember, some of the best times of our lives were spent playing out in our neighborhood’s streets. The fun and carefree vibe without a care in the world was mixed with that sense of freedom being outdoors, yet still feeling safe knowing that you were close to home.

But alas, responsibilities set in and so did harsh reality. Yet all is not lost. You can still relive those times out on the street, this time within a place that not only makes you feel safe but one that lets you indulge in your passion. This is Bonifacio Global City’s Summer on  the Street 2018.

For the next few weekends, Bonifacio High Street will open its streets to host various activities to keep both the young and young-at-heart entertained and informed.  Take Fitsreet, which will transform Bonifacio High Street into a fitness place on April 14-15, 2018. Fitness buffs and those that are looking to get into shape can choose from the various activities happening at this posh strip.

It’s the kids’ turn on April 21-22 as Youthstock treats the youngsters to Coachella. Live musical performances, fun gaems, and art installations will liven up the atmosphere. Kids can even dress up to match the occasion.

Those kids making the frightening yet obligatory transition from being a teenager to becoming a young adult can take the Adulting Starter Pack on April 27-28. This weekend will be filled with a career expo, job fair, and a street party to make things just a bit more fun. It’s the perfect way to learn the ins and outs of growing up and still having fun while you’re at it. Held together with The After-Six Club—LinkedIn Local, UDD (Up Dharma Down) will also be on hand to provide a bit of background music. Young adults can secure tickets by exchanging  a P2,000 receipt from any Bonifacio High Street establishment.

Wildlife activities with whale sharks, extreme sports, farm immersion, and tribe tours—these are just some of the things one can do this summer. To learn more about these activities, why not drop by Travel Street from May 4-6. Sustainable tourism is the central theme of the 1st Green and Gold Tourism Fair. Held in cooperation with the Philippine Tour Operators Association and the Department of Tourism, the three-day event will have airline and travel companies offering discounts, as well as exciting deals on various destinations. Of course, local cuisine and handicraft will be on hand to make things more interesting. It’s the beauty of the Philippines shining through in a sustainable way.

To cap things off, TLC Mom’s The Word will celebrate Mother’s Day on May 12, R.O.X Outdoor Festival will have some extreme physical challenges on on May 19-20, and Bite Me Manila will treat food lovers to a Mexican food fiesta on May 26-27.

So head over to Bonifacio High Street and experience Summer on the Street. It could just be some of the best days of your life waiting to happen.
